BrickShare is committed to protecting your personal data. As a regulated financial services platform, we handle your data with the highest standards of security and compliance.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: full name, email address, phone number, date of birth, nationality, government-issued ID documents, proof of address, tax identification numbers, bank account details, and investment preferences. We also automatically collect device information, IP addresses, browser type, and usage data when you use the Platform.
2. KYC & Identity Verification Data
As a regulated platform, we are required to collect and verify identity documents. This includes national IDs, passports, utility bills, and biometric verification data. KYC data is processed by our regulated identity verification partners and stored with bank-grade encryption. We retain KYC records for a minimum of 7 years as required by anti-money laundering regulations.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used to: (a) verify your identity and comply with KYC/AML requirements; (b) process investments and distribute returns; (c) communicate transaction confirmations, portfolio updates, and dividend notices; (d) provide customer support; (e) comply with regulatory reporting obligations; (f) improve platform features and detect fraud.
4. Data Sharing
We share your data only with: (a) regulatory authorities as required by law; (b) identity verification and payment processing partners under strict data processing agreements; (c) property management companies for your invested properties; (d) auditors and legal advisors under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, multi-factor authentication, and regular security audits. Access to personal data is strictly controlled on a need-to-know basis. We use isolated cloud storage for sensitive documents.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and for a minimum of 7 years following account closure, as required by financial services regulations. You may request deletion of non-mandatory data by contacting our Data Protection Officer.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate information; request deletion of non-mandatory data; object to processing; request data portability; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. 8. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management, and analytical cookies to improve the Platform. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
